Lorenzo loves his land, his
farm and the
natural products of "clean" agriculture. And also he loves the horses
(he was born as a rider), the pigs, the chickens, the ducks and all the other
animals living on the farm.
The Olive Oil.
From its own 500 olive trees, Casa Caponetti produces organically one of the best Italian Olive
Oils.
The mill is a traditional one, with the old millstone, where the oil is still cold pressed. A wealth of low acidity and wonderful flavour.
Our Extra Virgin "Organic" olive oil is really one of the best Italian Olive Oils you can find. And it is certified BIOLOGICO (organic) by AIAB (National Association for the Organic Agriculture). It is bottled in glass bottles and in easy-to-ship cans.
And the vegetable garden...
Something to be proud of! An organic vegetable garden, to rediscover the real taste of food. Nature at its purest, for a healthier life and a cooking that starts from the best quality ingredients. Zucchini, melanzane (eggplants), cetrioli (cucumbers), carciofi (artichokes), pomodori (tomatoes), cavoli (cabbages), fagioli and fagiolini (beans and green beans), insalate (lettuce and chicory), meloni (melons) and angurie (watermelons), peperoni and peperoncini (bell peppers and chili peppers), fragole (stawberries) and more and more.
All around hectars of wild greens, herbs and fruits to go for with a basket, a good idea for a walk, but also a good idea for something different to bottle: elderberry, wild fig, blackberry, will give us marmellata di fichi, gelatina di sambuco, composta di more. Preserves and jam, of course, are made with the same old recipes from the family tradition. And with the care for food distictive of Casa Caponetti.
...and the Arabian horses... ...among the luckiest horses in the world...
Happy horses in wide paddoks, living a happy horse life. Mares with fowles and colts, young stallions and good old friends living free.
...not to speak about the other animals!
In certain cases (like Dolce, the pig in this photo) they are so friendly and smart to become pets!
