A
farm like a masterpiece.
Lorenzo loves his land, his farm and the
natural products of "clean" agriculture. And also he loves the horses (he
was born as a rider), the pigs, the cows and all the other animals living
on the farm.
He works everyday to run a farm where nature is represented at its purest.
You will discover it through the taste of food but also in the quality of
life of the people and the animals who live here.

The extravirgin organic olive oil... |
|
From
its own 500 olive trees, Lorenzo produces organically one of the best
Italian Olive Oils. The olives are picked by hand, early in November when
the quality is at its best, and taken immediately to the mill.
The mill is a traditional one, with the old millstone, where the oil is
still cold pressed. A wealth of low acidity and wonderful flavour.
|
 |
|
Our Extra Virgin "Organic" olive oil is really
one of the best Italian Olive Oils you can find.
And it is certified BIOLOGICO (organic) by
AIAB (National Association for the Organic Agriculture).
It is bottled in easy-to-ship cans.

And the products from the vegetable garden.
An organic vegetable garden, to rediscover the real taste of food.
Nature at its purest, for a healthier life and a cooking that starts from
the best quality ingredients. Zucchini, melanzane (eggplants), cetrioli (cucumbers),
carciofi (artichokes), pomodori (tomatoes), cavoli (cabbages), fagioli and
fagiolini (beans and green beans), insalate (lettuce and chicory), meloni
(melons) and angurie (watermelons), peperoni and peperoncini (bell peppers
and chili peppers), fragole (stawberries) and more and more.
|
 |
Some of them, freshly
picked, will turn into savoury conserve, preserved in the best olive oil
-as we do with zucchini, melanzane and peperoni, for a tasty antipasto
that keeps the flavour of Italy and sun. Some will become delicious jams
and marmelade, as anguria and - unbelievably - zucchini and cetrioli.
All around hectars of wild greens, herbs and fruits to go for with a
basket, a good idea for a walk, but also a good idea for something
different to bottle: elderberry, wild fig, blackberry, will give us
marmellata di fichi, gelatina di sambuco, composta di more.
Preserves and jam, of course, are made with the same old recipes from the
family tradition. And with the care for food distictive of Casa Caponetti.

Every year Lorenzo is invited to
the United States to convey Italian taste and recipes abroad.
